Chris Newlin, NCAC Executive Director, presented training sessions on the Children’s Advocacy Center Model at the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect Congress (ISPCAN) in Istanbul, Turkey along with Jane Braun, Project Director of the Midwest Regional Children’s Advocacy Center and Teresa Huizar, Executive Director of the National Children’s Alliance. These presentations were very well received and provided the opportunity to share the CAC model and its positive outcomes for children. This was the third time the NCAC presented at the ISPCAN Congress, and the international development of CACs continues! While at this conference, it was announced that there are now two CACs in New Zealand, and dramatic interest in the development of CACs from all parts of the world. Chris Newlin’s full presentation can be viewed in the International Resources section of CALiO.
