Continuing Education

Continuing education for this event is co-sponsored by The Institute for Continuing Education, the National Children's Advocacy Center, and The Association for Sexual Abuse Prevention. Continuing education credit is offered as listed. Credit is awarded on a session-by-session basis, with full attendance required at the sessions attended. The processing fee is $25.00 per person and is payable when the application form and other CE documents are mailed to The Institute. Application forms will be available at the Conference at the continuing education desk. Certificates of Attendance will also be available at the CE desk for non-licensed attendees. Psychology: The Institute for Continuing Education is approved by the American Psychological Association to offer continuing education for psychologists. The Institute maintains responsibility for the program.

Counseling: The Institute for Continuing Education is an organization recognized by The National Board for Certified Counselors to offer continuing education for certified counselors. The Institute for continuing Education adheres to NBCC continuing education guidelines. NBCC Provider No. 5643.

Social Work: The Institute for Continuing Education is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), www.aswb.org, 1-800-225-6880, though the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. The Institute for Continuing Education maintains responsibility for the program. Licensed social workers should contact their individual state jurisdiction to review current continuing education requirements for licensure renewal. ASWB Provider No. 1007.

Marriage-Family Therapy: The Institute for Continuing Education is recognized as a provider of continuing education by most state Boards of Marriage/Family Therapy.

Drug-Alcohol: The Institute for Continuing Education is approved by the National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC) to provide continuing education for alcohol and drug abuse counselors. NAADAC Provider No. 000243.

Nursing: The Institute for Continuing Education is accredited as a provider of continuing education in nursing by the Alabama Board of Nursing. ABNP No. 1124; and by the California Board of Nursing, Provider No. CEP 12646. Note: Nurses should check with their state board to determine if credit issued through an approved provider by these states is acceptable for credit in their state.
