Logistics for Victim Advocacy

Trainees are required to attend all course sessions (note above start and end times of training) in the virtual classroom as well as complete all assignments outside the course meetings. Participants who miss any portion of a course session or other assignments will not receive a certificate of completion for the course.

Participants will have access to training materials in their course in the NCAC Virtual Training Center (NCACvtc). Prior to the training, all registered participants will be enrolled in the course in the NCACvtc and can access all training materials including reading assignments, worksheets, references, faculty staff bios, and more.

The virtual training is conducted in the NCAC Virtual Training Center (NCACvtc) using Zoom for the live virtual classroom meetings. Each participant needs access to the following to fully participate in the training:

• Computer: We strongly recommend a computer be used to access virtual training but tablets can be used as well.
• Strong Internet Connection: Test your internet speed.
• A web-camera and noise-canceling headset/earbuds with a microphone are required. (They reduce feedback and interference allowing trainees to speak and hear without an echo.)
• Ability to download the Zoom app
