International Training with the United Nations
Local Service. Global Leadership. NCAC continues to expand its presence in the international area of child maltreatment. The OIOS Investigation Division (Office of Internal Oversight Services) is the internal oversight body of the United Nations, hosted a course of forensic interviewing of minors on May 10-12, 2016. This was the first step in the development of a broader effort and brought together participants from OIOS, the Police Division, the Division for Safety and Security, UNICEF and UNDP to increase capacity and expertise for handling sexual exploitation and abuse
Linda Cordisco Steele, Senior Trainer at NCAC, together with OIOS, presented a course built on the concept of the multidisciplinary approach.
