Research Library Access Policies
The primary mission of the Research Library involves support for the staff and programs of the NCAC. However, the Research Library does offer access to collections and services for professionals and the public.
Circulation Policy
NCAC staff and interns may borrow books and audio/visual materials from the Research Library. Professionals attending NCAC Training courses may borrow materials overnight with permission of the librarian. Periodicals and reference materials cannot be taken from the Research Library anytime by anyone.
Library Use Policy
NCAC staff and interns may use the Research Library at any time. Professionals attending NCAC Training courses and guests of the NCAC may use the Research Library at any time they have free. All other visitors may use the Research Library by appointment.
Photocoping Policy
The Research Library provides photocopying machines for the use of NCAC staff. Photocopies may be provided to visitors. The Research Library does not provide photocopies to individuals outside NCAC, except as noted in the Interlibrary Lending policy below.
Interlibrary Borrowing Policies
The Research Library will acquire photocopies and attempt to borrow books from other libraries for the use of NCAC staff. This service is available only to NCAC staff.
Interlibrary Lending Policies
The Research Library does not lend books and audio/visual materials from its collections. The Research Library will provide photocopies of articles and other short works to other libraries for a fee. Policies regarding photocopy services for other CACs are still being considered.
