NCAC Online Catalog

The NCAC Online Catalog is the central database of records for knowledge resources owned by the organization. Think of it as an inventory of information resources. It includes materials physically located in the Research Library, the Clinical Library, and the Parents Library.

The NCAC Online Catalog contains records of the following types of resources owned by the organization:

  • Books, technical reports, dissertations and other
  • Videotapes and other audiovisual materials
  • Journals and other periodical publications (years owned, etc)

The Online Catalog does not include articles in journals or chapters in books. To search for articles and chapters, use a bibliographic database.

Search Tips

In the drop-down menu, indicate how you want to search the Online Catalog.

All
-- this option searches complete bibliographic records
Author
-- use the last name, but be aware, an author search will not retrieve editors!
Title
-- use words from the title; do not use beginning words of A, An, or The.
Subject
-- use words that describe the publication.
ISBN
-- use the ten-digit International Standard Book Number.

Use the following techniques to obtain more refined search results:

-- use an asterisk with a word stem to include variations on words. (example: interview*)
"_"
-- use quotation marks to search for a word phrase
