Prosecuting Child Sexual Abuse 101: A Course for Prosecuting Attorneys

This training is specifically designed to meet the needs of prosecutors who are responsible for evaluating and trying criminal child sexual abuse cases. It is appropriate for prosecutors with beginning to intermediate trial skills. This training course will address the complex nature of child abuse litigation by addressing substantive issues of sexual abuse. Course topics will include Case Analysis, Preparation, Pretrial Motions, Jury Selection, Case in Chief, Use of Demonstrative Evidence, Cross Examination Skills, Use of Prior Bad Acts and Meeting Untrue Defenses.
Laura Rogers, JD, will be the lead faculty for this training session. The training will be held in Huntsville, AL at the National Children's Advocacy Center's Training Center. Thirty attendees will be selected to attend this training for prosecutors.
