Youth Advisory Council

The National Children’s Advocacy Center’s Youth Advisory Council is a board of students representing each high school in Madison County.

Members of the Youth Advisory Council (YAC) would:

  • Act as ambassadors to their respective high school for the NCAC
  • Participate in supply drives
  • Sponsor fund raisers
  • Volunteer at the NCAC if necessary

Another purpose of the YAC is to raise awareness within schools about problems that the NCAC deals with within the teen community, such as date rape and the dangers of dating apps.

The YAC will meet monthly or bimonthly to work on projects and to discuss ideas on how to better confront the issues mentioned above and others within the teen community.

The online application opens August 21, 2017 and is due by September 15, 2017.  Applications are limited to high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors.
