Call for Papers
The National Children’s Advocacy Center (NCAC) will host the 35th International Symposium on Child Abuse (Symposium) March 18-21, 2019 in Huntsville, AL. The Symposium attracts over 1,400 participants and 50 exhibitors from around the world.
The NCAC seeks workshops that are relevant to an audience of both new and experienced child maltreatment professionals from a variety of disciplines and government entities. Presentations should be engaging and innovative. The Symposium offers workshops related to the following tracks:
To begin, applicants are asked to create a username and password, which allows applicants to save and edit workshop submissions. Previous applicants will need to create a new account. The following information is required for a workshop submission:
- Lead Presenter contact information, to include organization and education credentials. Co-presenter information should be included, when applicable.
- Workshop Details to include workshop title, related track, description suitable for publishing, and three (3) learning objectives. Additionally, include a statement regarding the focus and intended audience of the presentation; evidence of multidisciplinary team efforts or relationship to multidisciplinary practice; and pertinent related research.
- Continuing Education (CE) Criteria to include: presenter category, education experience, relevant professional training and license information, brief biographical summary (100 words or less), and a current resume or curriculum vitae (CV). Include any experience training, especially at the regional, national, and/or international levels.
All information should be submitted via the online application by close of business July 13, 2018.
Please save and/or print a copy of your workshop submission. Applicants will be notified via email of the Symposium Reading Committee’s selection decision.
