In August, NCAC Executive Director, Chris Newlin, wrapped up his two week trip to Australia. He met with the Liverpool Joint Investigation Response Team and the Senior Advisors to the Honorable Pru Goward, Minister for Family and Community Services, to discuss the CAC model and the efficacy of Child Advocacy Centers. Mr. Newlin also presented, “The Multidisciplinary Response to Child Abuse: Children’s Advocacy Centers and Evidence-Based Practice,” to the Family and Community Services staff.

NCAC Trainer, Andra Chamberlin, conducted a five-day Forensic Interviewing class in Wilkesboro, NC and Senior Trainer, Linda Cordisco Steele, conducted a two-day Forensic Interviewing Workshop and Peer Review in Fort Wayne, IN.

Representing all of the resources of the agency, the NCAC Prevention Department ended the month by exhibiting at the National Sexual Assault Conference in Hollywood, CA.
