In January, NCAC Executive Director, Chris Newlin, and NCAC Senior Trainer, Linda Cordisco Steele, traveled to Guyana to provide training on how to develop CACs and improve interviewing practices. Chris presented the training, “Multidisciplinary Response to Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation,” while Linda conducted a “Forensic Interviewing of Children Training.”

Also in January, NCAC Senior Trainer, Linda Cordisco Steele co-presented two workshops, “Interviewing Children When Sexualized Behavior and/or Unclear Statement Precipitate a Forensic Interview Request,” with Miriam Wolf and, “Extended Assessments/Forensic Evaluations When There are Concerns About Child Abuse: Current State of the Art and Science,” with Kathleen Faller at the 28th Annual San Diego International Conference on Child and Family Maltreatment. Also presenting at the conference was Karen Hangartner, Outreach Coordinator for Southern Regional CAC with a workshop titled, “Creating a Trauma Informed Multidisciplinary Team.”
