Meet October Superhero Will Fowler! – National Children’s Advocacy Center Skip to content

When you meet Will Fowler, clown is not the first image that comes to mind. But, behind the beard and tattoos is a true entertainer. Will and his late wife charmed crowds as Shriner’s Clowns. They performed for countless children – making days brighter with balloon animals, slight of hand, and slapslick comedy. Will says he gravitates to the shy kids and the ones who are carrying heavy burdens.

Will knows first hand what it’s like to carry a burden. He lost his wife after a long, hard fought battle with cancer. Will could not settle into his grief. He had the couple’s five children to help through the loss of their mom.

Will leaned in to another event he enjoyed with his family. Nine years ago, when his wife was diagnosed with cancer they created a Relay for Life team. He continued leading the team after she passed. Will now hosts survivor dinners and even serves BBQ at Relay for Life each year.

This Army Veteran landed at Huntsville defense contractor Yulista after serving our country. A true family man, he knew this was the perfect place to raise his children. His commitment to his children shows in everything he does – whether its helping with school projects, fundraisers, or offering advice – they come first in everything he does.

One of Will’s coworkers described him as the first person to volunteer and the one everyone can count on to help those in need. We have to agree! Will’s dedication to the children and families in our community are why he is our October Community Hero!
Thank you, Will for all of your support.
