ACT - Raising Safe Kids

The ACT Raising Safe Kids Program (ACT) is an evidence-informed, promising, violence prevention intervention, focusing on early childhood, before violence occurs or escalates. The program’s goal is to strengthen families by improving or changing parenting skills to create safe, nurturing, and stable early environments; thereby promoting positive experiences that protect children from violence, trauma, and its consequences. In addition, the ACT Program is now recognized by:  World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), California Evidence-Based Clearing House on Child Welfare, U. S. The Association of Prosecuting Attorneys

The Association of Prosecuting Attorneys’ Child Abuse Prosecution Project is a VOCA-funded training and technical assistance resource for child abuse prosecutors and allied professionals. To provide convenient and timely training for prosecutors and allied professionals in the field of child abuse, the Child Abuse Prosecution Project conducts webinars on a wide variety of topics relevant to child abuse investigation and prosecution. Child Sex Trafficking Webinars

This web-based training series is presented by The Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Stephanie V. Blank Center for Safe & Healthy Children and the Governor's Office for Children & Families. It aims to educate professionals on sex trafficking of children and teens. The series includes six individual modules which will be presented via live webinars. Interested professionals may attend any of the webinars and do not need to complete all six. The modules do not need to be completed in order; however, we recommend that learners with limited knowledge of this topic complete the introduction module prior to others in the series. Domestic Violence and Child Maltreatment Series

Join the Resource Center on Domestic Violence: Child Protection and Custody (RCDV:CPC), a project of the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (NCJFCJ), for a four-part series exploring both the complexities and opportunities that arise in working with families experiencing domestic violence and child abuse or neglect. This series is designed as both a conversation and learning opportunity for child welfare personnel, domestic violence advocates, legal professionals, and other community programs working with adult victims, men who use violence, and children exposed to violence. Parent Child Interaction Therapy - Web Course

In 2011, the UCD PCIT Training Center developed the “PCIT for Traumatized Children” Web Course: a free, 10-hour, 11-module web course to provide fundamental information about providing PCIT. This web course was designed to increase access to information about PC IT and to make it easier for more therapists to learn the skills necessary to aid a greater number of families. The web course gives trainees a solid foundation in PCIT and partially fulfills the requirements to be a certified PCIT therapist.  View Online Trainings
