Traveling to Huntsville

Flight arrangements should be scheduled so that the trainee arrives the day before training begins since training begins at 9:00 a.m. on the first day. It is also recommended that departure flights be scheduled 6:00 p.m. or later on the last day of training to allow adequate transportation time to the airport.

Recommended airport for trainings is the Huntsville International Airport, Huntsville International Airport is 14 miles from the NCAC Training Center and Downtown.

Birmingham International Airport is within 106 miles of the NCAC Training Center and Downtown.

Nashville International Airport is within 118 miles of the NCAC Training Center and Downtown.

The NCAC Training Center is located at 210 Pratt Ave, Huntsville, AL 35801.

Transportation arrangements are the responsibility of the trainee. Nearby hotels, such as Embassy Suites, may provide shuttle service, at their discretion.

Trainees are responsible for all transportation expenses incurred, such as but not limited to, flight, car rental, Uber, Lyft, and taxi, when traveling to and from the training site.

Public Transit

Hotel Transit

Embassy Suites may offer complementary shuttle service to those staying at the hotel. Check hotel for schedule.

Uber/Lift

Uber and Lift options are available to you at your discretion. Address for the NCAC Training Center is 210 Pratt Ave, Huntsville, AL 35801. Ask the drive to drop you off at Building A, the rock building.

There are many places to stay in Huntsville, AL. We know that some participants will prefer a per diem hotel, AirBnB, or a VRBO.

Trainees are responsible for making reservations, in addition to all lodging expenses incurred.

During your training at the NCAC, lunch will be provided. A kitchenette with microwave and refrigerator are available if you choose to bring your own. There are multiple restaurants within walking distance of our campus in addition to a variety of delivery services available.

Big Spring Park - the park is built around its namesake "Big Spring", the original water source that the city of Huntsville was built around. The Huntsville Museum of Art and Von Braun Center are located in the park.

Historic Saturn V Rocket - is a retired American super heavy-lift launch vehicle developed by NASA under the Apollo program for human exploration of the Moon. The U.S. Space and Rocket Center is home to one of the three remaining Saturn V left in the world.

Monte Sano Mountain - In Spanish, Monte Sano means “Mountain of Health.” In the late 1800s, visitors from across the United States came for “the season” to experience and enjoy Monte Sano’s fresh air, spectacular views and mineral springs.

MidCity District - Provides activities indoor and outdoor sports.
