Huntsville, AL – Registration is now open for the 35th International Symposium on Child Abuse. The Symposium will take place March 18-21, 2019 in Huntsville, AL. A discounted rate is available to those who register before January 18, 2019. Registration includes transportation to and from the Symposium venue from partner hotels.

This year’s keynote address will be presented by Françoise Mathieu, M.Ed., RP, CCC. Mathieu is a compassion fatigue specialist with a background in mental health and crisis counseling. She has presented to members of St. Jude Children Children’s Hospital in Memphis, the LAPD, Mount Sinai Hospital, the Chief Coroner’s Office in Ontario and several more agencies working in high-stress, trauma exposed work.

Pre-Conference workshops for 2019 will focus on topics including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, working with youth-serving organizations, and responding to child sex trafficking.

The NCAC Training Center has also launched a new look to mark the 35th International Symposium on Child Abuse. The globe, created from the ribbon in past logos, representing the international partnerships. Along with the new look, comes a new website to streamline registration and planning.
