Secondary Traumatic Stress video series – National Children’s Advocacy Center Skip to content

We Want to Hear from You!

Southern Regional Children’s Advocacy Center (SRCAC), a program of the NCAC, is developing a video series on the potentially negative impacts of secondary traumatic stress (STS) and vicarious trauma (VT) on individuals and supervisors who work in the field of child abuse. The series will feature interviews with experts Dr. Patricia Fisher, R.Psych., Françoise Mathieu, M.Ed., RP., CCC., Brian Miller, Ph.D., and NCAC Executive Director Chris Newlin MS LPC, but we would also be very interested in hearing from individuals who work on the front lines—either staff, supervisors, or executive management/boards of directors regarding the impact of this work. If you are interested in being a part of this video project and would like to share your perspectives on this issue, please contact SRCAC Project Director Karen Hangartner (khangartner@nationalcac.org) for more information. The filming will take place in Huntsville, AL during the week of the 35th International Symposium on Child Abuse.
