The International Symposium on Child Abuse Goes Virtual

Beginning Monday, March 22, the National Children’s Advocacy Center will host its first ever virtual conference. In 2020, the NCAC was forced to cancel the in-person International Symposium on Child Abuse due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The NCAC Training Center staff has spent months building an innovative, informative, and most importantly, safe conference.

Record attendance is expected at this conference with more than 1650 participants already registered! The four day event includes more than 45 sessions, dozens of renowned presenters, more than 20 exhibitors, a virtual breakroom for networking opportunities, and evening events to help attendees unwind.

The NCAC is especially excited to announce keynote speaker Rev. Dr. Bryant Marks, founder and Chief Equity Officer of the National Training Institute on Race and Equality. Rev. Dr. Marks’ presentation entitled, “Hidden Biases of Good People: Implications For Child Advocacy Professionals and The Communities They Serve”, will describe the causes, consequences, and measurement of implicit bias as well as potential solutions for minimizing its impact.
