In August, NCAC Executive Director, Chris Newlin, conducted two board training sessions in Fort Smith and Bentonville, Arkansas; and met with US Air Force JAG training staff at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, AL to discuss child abuse response in a multidisciplinary format.

Chris Newlin also spent two weeks in Australia. While in Australia, Chris gave several presentations, recorded video segments, and met with officials from many different fields in the state of New South Wales explaining the benefits and roles of multidisciplinary teams, designated forensic interviewers, and child advocacy centers.

NCAC Trainer, Andra Chamberlin along with co-presenter Judge Doug Johnson from Omaha, NE, presented a workshop at the 76th Annual Conference of National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges in Seattle, Washington, titled, “Engaging Children in Court.” NCAC Senior Trainer, Linda Cordisco Steele, delivered a presentation titled, “Compliant Adolescent Victims,” at the National District Attorneys Association’s training Unsafe Havens II: Advanced Trail Advocacy for Prosecution of Technology Facilitated Crimes Against Children in San Antonio, Texas.
