In June, NCAC Executive Director, Chris Newlin, was appointed to the International Association of Chiefs of Police’s Juvenile Justice and Child Protection Committee. The mission of the Juvenile Justice and Child Protection Committee is to build effective leadership, strategies, and practices to enable law enforcement to protect children and reduce juvenile crime, delinquency, and victimization.

Chris Newlin delivered two presentations, Expanding Our Reach and Impact: Collaboration Opportunities for Children’s Advocacy Centers and Civil Victim’s Attorneys; and Children’s Advocacy Centers: An Evidence-Based Victims’ Rights Oriented Response to Child Abuse, at the National Crime Victim Law Institute’s Constructing Justice Conference in Portland, OR.

NCAC Trainers, Linda Cordisco Steele and Andra Chamberlin, had a very busy month in June, conducting trainings in Philadelphia, PA; Woburn, MA; Baton Rouge, LA; Bowling Green, KY; and Boise, ID.
